In a recent announcement, the anime adaptation of Katarina's manga "Shangri-La Frontier: Crappy Game Hunter Challenges God-Tier Game" revealed plans for a second season airing in October this year in Japan. Anticipated by fans, this sequel will span two cours.

The manga, which debuted in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020, originates from Katarina's novels available on the site Shousetsuka ni Narou since May 2017. Alongside the manga, Katarina contributed a series of novels serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine.
