During AnimeJapan 2024, a new trailer for the second part of the second season of the anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, based on the light novels by Rifujin na Magonote, was unveiled. It was announced that this second part is scheduled to premiere on April 7th in Japan and will consist of twelve episodes. The trailer featured a preview of the closing theme "Mamoritai Mono" performed by Yuiko Oohara.
The first part of this season aired during Summer-2023 in Japan, with Crunchyroll handling its international distribution. The light novel series began in January 2014 and concluded in November 2022, while the manga adaptation has been ongoing since May 2014.
The production team for this second season includes Hiroki Hirano as director at Studio Bind, Toshiya Oono as writer and supervisor, Sanae Shimada as character designer and animation director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa as composer of the soundtrack.
The story follows Rudeus Greyrat, who, after a romantic disappointment, embarks on a journey to the Northern Territories in search of his mother. Along with new companions, he rediscovers the thrill of adventure and commits to making the most of his second chance at life.
