Aniplex of America has revealed that the highly-anticipated English launch of Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, the remake of Type-Moon's cherished Tsukihime visual novel, will debut in the West on June 27. The updated version will be accessible on both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Originally released in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Switch in August 2021, the remake has already sold over 300,000 units by January of this year and will now reach a global audience.

Featuring a new voice cast from the 2003 Lunar Legend Tsukihime television anime adaptation, including Ryōsuke Kanemoto as Shiki Tohno and Ikumi Hasegawa as Arcueid Brunestud, among others. Additionally, new characters and cast members such as Ai Kayano as Noel and Ayane Sakura as Mario Gallo Bestino will be introduced.

Renowned writer Kinoko Nasu returns to craft the scenario and direct the remake, while Takashi Takeuchi resumes his role as character designer. The game's theme songs, "Seimeisen" (Lifeline) and "JUVENILE," are performed by ReoNa in collaboration with the label Sacra Music, with the opening animation created by ufotable.

In this reimagined narrative, players embark on the journey of Shiki Tohno, a high school student who gains the ability to perceive "lines of death" after a childhood accident. Returning to his hometown after his father's passing, Shiki delves into a world of dark secrets, unraveling mysterious killings and encountering both familiar and new characters along the way.

Aniplex's earlier release of Type-Moon's Mahōtsukai no Yoru (Witch on the Holy Night) visual novel game for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in December 2022 marked a significant milestone as the first official English translation of a Type-Moon visual novel. This release precedes the upcoming anime film adaptation of Witch on the Holy Night, produced by ufotable.
